To empty your Envirolet®, it is necessary to remove the Bottom Panel for access to the soil collecting Tray. You may also need to remove the Bottom Panel to clean or inspect your 2-Stage Pre-Sediment Filter. 1. To allow enough time for recent liquid entering the System to evaporate and/or drain, it is best to not use your Envirolet® for 24 hours. If a complete 24 hours is not possible, please do not use your Envirolet® Composting Toilet System for at least 4 hours prior to emptying or opening the Bottom Panel. Allow up to 12 hours before emptying an Envirolet® Low Water Remote or VF™ models.  2. Turn the 2 outer Grey Knobs on the Bottom Panel counter-clockwise until they are completely removed.  3. Loosen the 2 inner Grey Knobs on the Bottom Panel counter-clockwise. Do not remove completely.  4. With the 2 inner Grey Knobs still attached, but loose, push with your thumbs on the Grey Knobs to bring the plastic Bottom Panel towards yourself until it rests flush with the Grey Knobs. Lower the panel downward slightly to bring the metal Backplate through the opening in the System. Your Bottom Panel should now be removed. Remove soil collecting Tray to empty System or to inspect or clean your 2-Stage Pre-Sediment Filter (in some models).  RE-ATTACHING THE BOTTOM PANEL 5. Before re-attaching the Bottom Panel, please make sure that your Bottom Panel Gasket does not have any rips or tears that could cause a leak from your System. Also, be sure to replace soil collecting Tray if you removed it to empty your System. With the 2 inner Grey Knobs still attached, but loose, push with your thumbs on the Grey Knobs to bring the the plastic Bottom Panel until it comes flush with the Knobs. Place the metal Backplate downward through the opening in the System. Be sure that the "L" edge of the metal Backplate is on the top and the "C" edge is on the bottom.  6. Line up the panel evenly and turn the 2 inner Grey Knobs clockwise to tighten. Before completely tightening the inner Grey Knobs, insert the 2 outer Grey Knobs and turn clockwise to tighten.  7. Tighten all 4 Grey Knobs. Make sure they are firmly attached but do not over tighten.  8. Check to make sure Bottom Panel is completely attached and that there are no air or liquid gaps.
